I established Tusk Legal Services with one principal aim – to provide business people with sound legal advice based not only on thorough legal analysis but also on an experienced understanding of real business issues.

Believing that the term ‘commercial lawyer’ need not necessarily be an oxymoron I am convinced that as an experienced business person myself (I have been a CEO and a company director for many years) I am well placed to provide sensible advice to business clients, which meets their real business needs, at a price that gives true value for money.

When I was instructing lawyers as a client I was sometimes left with an uneasy feeling that they did not always understand how business people thought or what the real issues facing my business were.  This led to the uncomfortable conclusion that I was sometimes paying for advice that was of little value to my business and maybe was advice that I didn’t ask for and actually didn’t need.

Now, as a lawyer specialising in providing business clients with business law advice, I am determined to provide my clients with legal services that take into account the true nature of both the commercial and legal risks faced by them based on many years of experience at the sharp end of business.
